Oki Hello Altadore Families
We had a wonderful Earth Day assembly this week! A big thank you to our Earth Day Student Committee and Ms. Zelmer for organizing such a meaningful event, including the community walk. It was a great way to come together and reflect on how we can care for our planet.
Our grade six students are continuing their preparation for the upcoming Provincial Achievement Test. They've been engaging with Vretta’s online sessions and showing significant focus and determination.
Looking ahead to next week, we're excited to introduce students to Ninja Fitset—a fun and active experience they’re sure to enjoy! Don’t forget to ask your child about it over dinner—we’re sure they’ll have lots to share!
As we move forward, we’re also taking a moment to remind students about the importance of kindness and respect, both in the classroom and on the playground. We continue to encourage everyone to use words and actions that help, not hurt—fostering a safe and positive learning community for all.
Wishing you a great week.

Bell Time Change (2025-26 School Year)
In response to Alberta Education’s School Transportation Amendment Regulation, CBE is expanding yellow school bus service and adjusting walk zones starting on September 1, 2025. As bell times are closely linked to transportation schedules, these changes will affect many schools, including Altadore School. The new bell times for next year will be 8:42 AM to 3:15 PM, with early dismissal on Fridays ending at 12:45 PM.
Aligning bell times across schools improves transportation efficiency, allowing each bus to run multiple routes. This helps create a reliable system, ensuring students arrive at school safely, on time, and ready to learn. For more information, click here.
