Oki Hello Altadore Families, What a busy and beautiful week to return from Spring Break. What season will we experience this week? With that wonder, a gentle reminder to have students wear their boots to keep their feet dry for recess and learning on the land days. April brings many important recognitions for our Support Staff.

On April 23, we will celebrate the wonderful and caring work our educational assistants, lunchroom supervisors, admin staff, and caretaking staff provide us every day. We are also grateful for Mr. Jerry's return. We missed his absence during the strike and greatly appreciated his return. Hand to heart in gratitude to Mr. Jerry!

A Great Big Thank You to Everyone Who Attended Altadore School's Scholastic Book Fair

Thank you to all students and parents who shopped at our Scholastic Book Fair. Our sales were the highest ever and we are looking forward to adding new titles to our collection. A special thank you to Mr. Fagan & Mr. Ghosal who helped Mrs. Watson at the checkout. Thank you to all our shoppers who waited patiently to purchase while we used new scanning and checkout machines and purchasing options. After the excitement of the book fair and spring break, we will return to our regular weekly library checkout. Please help us keep the library running smoothly by returning or renewing your library books on a weekly basis.

Bikes and Scooters 🚲🛴

With the warmer weather, more students are riding bikes and scooters to school! Please remember to lock up bikes and scooters at the racks to keep them safe. A reminder that scooters are not allowed inside the building. Thank you for helping keep our school safe and organized!

Inclusion and Belonging

At Altadore School, we strive to create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment where every student feels valued. This aligns with CBE’s Administrative Regulation 6031, promoting positive relationships and behaviors. To support these values, Grade 6 students Ivanka and Lauren created a bulletin board highlighting inclusion, respect, and kindness—key themes in our wellness curriculum on healthy relationships. Join us in fostering inclusivity by talking to your child about:

✅ Inviting others to play at recess

✅ Practicing kindness in words and actions

✅ Celebrating cultural and individual differences

✅ Helping others and promoting belonging
