Back to School Information
The first day of school for students is Thursday August 29. We have a soft start at 8:27 AM when the doors will open, and instruction will begin at 8:30 am. Kindergarten students will begin with a staggered entry and start school on either Thursday, August 29 or Friday. August 30. All classroom teachers will be emailing families via School Messenger on Wednesday August 28 at 9:00 am to let them know who their teacher will be and where to meet on the first morning. Those who have not heard from the school by 2:00pm on that day are welcome to call the school office for this information if they wish. Please note that changes happen right up until the emails go home and that anything you may see or hear before that date may or may not be accurate.
There will be a Welcome Back Coffee for parents provided by our School Council on the morning of August 29. It will be in the garden or the learning commons depending on the weather. Please come and get to know some other families from our amazing Altadore School Community!

Welcome Back Picnic
Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 5 when we will be having our Welcome Back Picnic between 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Come join the fun with your picnic blanket and lawn chairs. Bring your own picnic, get something from the food trucks and come meet some new families as we kick off the new school year!
School Fees and Supplies
School supplies will be provided by the school. Information about other fees will be sent home in September. All students must bring on the first day a backpack, a water bottle, and a bagged lunch/recess snack. Indoor shoes are not needed until the weather turns.
Summer Office Hours
The office will be closed from Friday, June 28 at 12:00 PM and will reopen with part-time hours starting on Monday, August 19. If you have further information you need to share with the school before then, please email Ms. Tori at vmwychick@cbe.ab.ca.
