Oki Hello Altadore Families
The Spring Concert was a magical evening, filled with music and joy. Our Grade 4, 5, and 6 students beautifully showcased their hard work and musical talents. It was truly a night to remember! Thank you to Ms. Brown-Wolfe for all her work with Altadore students.
A heartfelt thank you to the parents who took the time to meet with us and share their perspectives for the 2025–26 school year. Your insights play a vital role in shaping our students' teaching, learning, and safety. We will be sharing the finalized plan for next year shortly.
The Altadore School Spirit Planning Committee has been hard at work preparing for Spirit Week, which will take place from June 2 to 6. This special week is designed to build unity and school pride. Students and staff will participate in themed activities throughout the week. To cap off the celebration and give back to our community, we encourage students to bring a non-perishable food item to our culminating Spirit Week Assembly. Let’s work together to fill our donation box and support those in need!
Have a lovely week. Take care,
Iikiinayookaa M. Yellow Horn Karlee Zelmer

Stream of Dreams
The Stream of Dreams art residency was an incredible experience for students and staff. We are so grateful for the opportunity to blend learning, creativity, and environmental awareness through this inspiring project.
The Stream of Dreams team has asked us to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who cared for and dedicatedly supported the installation. Your efforts truly brought the project to life.
Please take some time to enjoy the beautiful artwork created by our students—it reflects their learning, imagination, and pride.
Personal Sports Equipment
We thank the Altadore School Council/Parent Society for providing each class with recess equipment. To ensure student safety and consistency, we kindly ask that students do NOT bring personal outdoor equipment to school—this includes tennis balls, basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, baseballs, bats, and similar items.

Bell Time Change (2025-26 School Year)
In response to Alberta Education’s School Transportation Amendment Regulation, CBE is expanding yellow school bus service and adjusting walk zones starting on September 1, 2025. As bell times are closely linked to transportation schedules, these changes will affect many schools, including Altadore School. The new bell times for next year will be 8:42 AM to 3:15 PM, with early dismissal on Fridays ending at 12:45 PM.
Aligning bell times across schools improves transportation efficiency, allowing each bus to run multiple routes. This helps create a reliable system, ensuring students arrive at school safely, on time, and ready to learn. For more information: Transportation Service and Bell Time Changes for the 2025-26 School Year
Altadore Gear
Altadore School works with Summarized Design to provide Altadore Gear in all sizes for purchase all year long. This is a fun initiative that many of our families enjoy. Please note that this is not a fundraiser, and Altadore School does not benefit financially from the purchase of Altadore gear. You can order online HERE, and your purchase will come to the school in about a week.
Notes of Thanks
Thank you to the following individuals for their recent contributions to our school…
- Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with the Grade 3 field trip to Telus Spark—it was a fun learning opportunity for all!
